Election Day

I voted by absentee ballot yesterday. Why? Dh has the truck and Dragon is coming down with another cold. I don't want to take him out in the rain if I can help it. I waited for almost 2hrs to vote yesterday. It was well worth the wait.

How I Can Help Make America Great?

Today we read Marc Brown's Arthur Meets the President. In the story Arthur has to write an essay on "How I Can Help Make America Great". I asked the kids the same question. Here are their answers:

Tracker~ I would make the whole world laugh.
Me~How would you do that?
Tracker~I would make sure that every show was funny.

Squirrel~I would help the animals.

Dragon~I would ban litter.
Me~How would that help?
Dragon~No animals would eat aluminum cans. Sea turtles wouldn't get caught up in plastic bags. It would help the environment. I would make the world a healthier place.

Sounds good to me!

If I was President...

I would ban tv commercials. ~Dragon
I would make Halloween everyday. ~Squirrel
I would create a tv that would explode when a commercial started. Then it would remake itself before the tv show came back on. ~Tracker
