SNOW DAY!!!!

Yes, that is right. Here in South Carolina we had a snow day. The snow was only around for a few hours, but it was pretty.

Just 7 Things

I found this over at Building Castles In the Sky. I thought that it looked like fun.

7 Things that attracted me to my hubby:
1. His smile

5. The fact that he is a big teddy bear
6. He can cook.. need I say more.
7. Long distance phone calls. We talked for hours and hours every night on the phone. I fell in love with him without even knowing it.

5. Gracious Day(I didn't know that!)
6. Holy Buckets! I am trying to clean up my language.
7. How long have you been on it? It would be either the playstation, Ninetendo Ds or the Game Boy. The kids get on those every chance they get.

Well it seems as though I've been tagged by Giggles, Grins and Grades....so here it goes:

1. My favorite breakfast is an everything bagel with cream cheese.
2. I can't stand beets, but I LOVE beet greens.
3. I find sewing relaxing. I get into a 'zone' when I sew. I don't do it very well, but I love creating things.
4. I haven't taken off the earrings that dh got me for Christmas last year. :)
5. Making bread scares me. I am afraid that I will mess it up. I have tried a couple of times and it is just hard as a rock. Dh is an excellent baker!
6. I love to color with my kids. I love to lay on the ground and color with my kids in their coloring books.

Breakfast or No Breakfast: I eat breakfast almost everyday. I am going to trying to get a little bit better about it.

Chore I don't care for: cleaning the bathroom oh and the dishes. Wait that is more than one. I can't decide which one I like less.

Dog or cat: I actually like them both. In a perfect world I would have one of each. But due to allergies, I just can't do it. :(

Essential Electronics: computer & cell phone. Even though sometimes I wish that I didn't have a cell phone.

Favorite Cologne: I don't have one. Since I had the kids nothing smells good to me anymore.

Handbag I carry most often: a black purse. I keep trying to figure out if I want something big or small.

Job title: Domestic Goddess(atleast I try to be), mom, wife, banker, chef, homeschool teacher.

Kids: 2 boys and 1 girl

Living Arrangement: Three-bedroom, one bath house along the SC coast. There are 2 adults and 3 kids.

Most Admirable Trait: my son said that I am funny.

Naughtiest Childhood Memory: Let's see could be the time that I had a party while my parents were away and they caught me or it could be the fact that I missed my curfew on prom night by 7 hours(I stayed out all night). But I really was a good kid.

Overnight Hospital Stay:
I only had to stay overnight when I had the kids. I did stay one time with Dragon when he had his tonsils removed.

Phobias: Big trucks on the highway, bridges, oh and heights.

Time I Wake Up: depends on the day. If dh has to be at work 5:30am. If he doesn't have to be at work, I sleep in until 6:30am.

Four Foods on Friday

Kate over at I Think Therefore I Blog had a great meme. I thought that I would do it here.

1. How do you like your eggs cooked? Any special ingredients?I like my eggs scrambled or in an omelet. I love veggies added to them.

2. What's your favorite cold sandwich, made on 2 pieces of bread?
Hmmm, that is hard. I would have to say a veggie sandwich. My ideal one would have roasted red peppers, red onions, cucumbers, grilled eggplant, sauteed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, and some mayo. Oh and the bread must be toasted.

3. What is your favorite pie? Pumpkin pie.

4. Name one food you refuse to eat and why?
This is a tough one for me. I eat mainly vegetarian meals. Once a month I will eat a piece of fish, but that is all. I don't eat meat for health reasons. But when it comes to veggies I will try just about anything.

5. What's the name of your favorite restaurant, and is it small or part of a chain?
I would have to say that my favorite restaurant is a tie between Subway & Ultimate California Pizza. They are both a part of a chain.

I got it!!!

I went to the mailbox on Friday and guess what I found...my new Homeschool Mom bag. It is soo cute!! In the bag were 2 books, candles(which I needed so badly), and bags of tea(which my children have already raided).

Wednesday Wanderings

I am sitting here nursing a hurt knee. I decided that while the kids were content with their coloring I would catch up on some blogs. I always love to read blogs. Here are some of the good ones that I found today...

Summer over at Mom is Teaching had a Talk Like A Pirate Day. Tracker would LOVE to do that. I might just have to try that for a day.

While at Summer's blog I found a great entry that lead me to another great blog. I Think Therefore I Blog is a new find for me. But I found myself nodding my head and agreeing with what she wrote. One thing that really touched me was Somewhere, My Son Has A Twin. I found myself with tears in my eyes...someone else out there was going through some of the stuff I do. I am not alone. Thank you for sharing.

Now one of my good friends has just posted a great craft. Learn how to make a Tropical Rainstick!


Stephanie at Throwing Marshmallows and I agree that there is just too much 'fluff' in the news and not enough substance.
